The flow has four gates: app download, mobile OTP verification, KYC document upload, and first deposit. The code only affects what lands in your wallet — it does not change the verification flow. The first screen you see after install asks for a one-time SMS permission so the app can read the OTP that completes mobile verification. Grant the permission once. If you skip it, you will type the 6-digit OTP manually each time, and on patchy Indian mobile networks that adds 20-30 seconds to every login. The app then requests notification permission — this is the channel through which you receive your bonus-balance notifications, match start alerts, and contest result updates.

Casumo India supports two KYC pathways: Aadhaar-based (eKYC via OTP from UIDAI) and PAN-based (image upload with PAN card photograph). The Aadhaar route is faster — you enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number, the app sends an OTP to the mobile number registered with UIDAI, and KYC clears in 60-90 seconds. PAN-based KYC requires you to upload a clear photograph of the PAN card, plus a selfie, and verification takes 4-12 hours.
Aadhaar KYC has one important rule: your Aadhaar-linked mobile number must be the same device on which the Casumo app is installed. UIDAI's OTP goes to the registered number, and the app verifies the device's SIM. If you have an old Aadhaar registration pointing to a SIM you no longer use, either update the Aadhaar mobile number at an enrolment centre first, or use the PAN pathway.
The PAN pathway is the more forgiving option if you do not have an Aadhaar-mobile match. Tips for a clean PAN upload: place the card on a dark background in good light, avoid glare on the laminated surface, and make sure the four corners of the card are within the frame the app draws on screen. A blurry PAN photograph is the single most common KYC rejection reason and adds 24 hours to your onboarding.
Casumo supports UPI, net banking, and selected wallets for first deposit. The minimum deposit is Rs 100, and the maximum single-deposit cap is Rs 50,000 on UPI and Rs 2,00,000 on net banking. UPI is the path the platform steers first-time users toward because it clears in 30-60 seconds. Net banking occasionally hits session-timeout issues on first attempt, particularly with smaller cooperative banks.
To link UPI inside the app, you enter your UPI ID (the name@bank handle your bank's UPI app gave you), the app sends a collect request, and you approve it from your bank's UPI app. The approval screen in your UPI app shows the merchant name — verify it reads the operator's registered entity before approving. If the merchant name is unfamiliar, decline and contact support before retrying.
The first deposit also activates your real-money wallet. For your first squad, the safe picks are a balanced combination: 1 wicketkeeper, 4 batsmen, 2 all-rounders, 4 bowlers. That gives you 7 batting-credit candidates and 6 bowling-credit candidates, with all-rounders covering both. Pick the captain from the top-order batsman in the form with the strongest recent run tally — a 2x multiplier on a batsman who scores 80+ is the difference between a top-30% finish and a top-10% finish in any moderately-sized contest.
Save the squad 30 minutes before toss. The contest lobby opens at squad-lock time (usually 10 minutes before the match starts). Pick a small league for your first entry — a 5-entry or 20-entry league with a Rs 10 to Rs 50 entry fee. The variance in those leagues is low, so your draft picks have a meaningful impact on the result. The mega contests with 10,000+ entries are better left until you have 20-30 contests of experience.
The first 24 hours matter because that is when the welcome bonus is most valuable. Your free-entry bonus expires 7-14 days after KYC, so enter at least one bonus-eligible contest within a week. Set a phone reminder on day 5 of onboarding: "if I have not played a contest yet, log in tonight and enter a small league."
